Can someone link me to her portfolio or anything where I can find art that isnt black and white floating heads or stiff female figures? Im not crabbing, im genuinely worried that someone is paying her to teach when I cant see any advanced skill in her work. She never gave any proof of whether she works in any kind of art related industry or even as a freelancer - anything apart from being a teacher. She has "concept artist" written in her bio but the only thing close to concept art are some unfinished sketches, never saw a finished concept piece of hers. This is her before&after section about her students: https://i.imgur.com/Q4VVbsh.png literally 6 floating heads and a huge empty space (??).

Can someone at least explain to me why she keeps making and teaching about these floating heads in frontal view? why arent these faces attached to anything? and why is everything in greyscale?

If you prove to me that she has skills then i will gladly change my opinion about her and never say a bad word about her again. For now im simply basing my opinion on whats available on her website and social media.

Everyone itt should read charles bargue before trying to do anything

At least with charles you gain some respect for nature/reference and treat it as an understanding more than an ability that you are trying to adquire to do "things" on your way.

Tl;dr of charles bargue

NEVER FUCKING ADD YOUR FUCKING FEELINGS TO THE DRAWING/PAINTING

And that also means your selfcentric and egoistic "techniques" such as drawing from imagination

I want to end every habit and behavior of mine that works against drawing. I already deleted my online video game accounts, deleted video games in general. stopped masturbating as much (still struggling but fighting a good fight), stopped wasting time on people that don't share my will for self-improvement, stopped consuming media as much and reduced my time browsing 4chan and youtube. I am still here so I am not fully ascended but I can take something useful out of this site while I am here.

So a question to anons who want to do the same thing and succedeed or still try to succeed, what are the tips you can give me? What I really want from life is meaningful relationships and meaningful achievements. I am willing to sacrifice everything for those.

Guys, I'm a 33-year-old guy with no education, no job and no future.
Someone on r9k told me I should come here and ask advice on how to make bucks on the Internet with art.

So yeah, any advice? I don't really have what it takes to create good art by Internet standards. Looking at stuff here and on any site imaginable, people are incredibly talented. It's like, 5/5 art is everywhere. When I was a kid I was told I'm good at drawing, but then the Internet came and I look like shit now. All I can do is MS Paint stuff in black and white.

I heard that there are some crazy furry niche markets where you don't need to be a good artist - you just need to draw shit that real artists refuse to do. What do you think about this as my future career?

Busking is a good way to make coin while travelling. Just buy a shit ton of permanent markers and a decent sized coil sketchpad and go to town. Draw caricatures of people because it's quick and easy. $15-25 a drawing, a 50 page sketchpad will earn you $750-$1250. All of which is under the table and untaxed. Beware though, you will be a target for police harassment and you can get a hefty fine for running an illegal business. If you get a permit you have nothing to worry about, but if you're travelling this is unrealistic and it can be a lengthy process to get the permit accepted. Hanging outside bars is a good place to make quick cash. Anticipate festivals and events to maximize profit.
Make sure you have a bank account and can deposit cash once it exceeds a certain amount (like a float) because getting robbed is a risk and can happen at any moment. I was robbed of ~300 because I was careless.

>t. I used to busk while attending university for luxury money.

>How does other subject matter sell?
Personally, I never went beyond caricatures, so my experience of selling other subject matters is limited to what i've seen others do. When I visited Venice Beach some of the hottest selling items buskers had were printed copies of celebrity portraiture, psychedelic paintings and screen printed shirts.
>Any tips for dealing with and avoiding law enforcement?
Easy answer is get a permit. But sometimes it can take weeks for your permit to process, and almost everytime they'll only accept temporary applications. Other than that it is purely your discretion. I was fortunate enough to never have gotten busted when I didn't have a permit, but in the city I live in the fines can get up to $20k depending on the severity of the illegal business. Sadly, high traffic areas are where you make the most coin but also where you can easily be busted.
>Though I was thinking I'd be selling primarily to the people I'll ride with since I'll have the opportunity to work them a bit.
They'll sooner drop you off. They will most certainly not be interested in buying your work unless you make a convincing sob story. But even then they will probably see through it.
Good luck though!

I just wanted to say, if like me you are new to drawing and you've been struggling with what books to read, drop immediately you meme books and start with this one.

What other books offer:
- Pseudo theory.
- "You can be anything" yoga self-help.
- Draw the rest of the fucking owl.
- Words and words and words. It seems like they don't want you to learn, just to keep you hooked until you forget why did you get the book in the first place.

What this manual cleverly put together offers:
- More pictures than paragraphs.
- 3 introduction pages that you can read in 5 minutes.
- Exercises designed for the mentally challenged (just like you right now) that leaves no room for mistakes
- Guidance that will make impossible to feel like there is nothing more to do.

Why (some) people don't like it:
- Muh anime.
- Rather fall into self-indulgence than receive precise instructions that make better use of your time.
- "But I just want to draw!"

tl;dr: If you want to actually practice and not lose your time with motivational books, get this book.

No, it's impossible, and even if 0.00001% of people could pull it off you wouldn't.

The book is awesome for understanding perspective, drawing architecture, vehicles and robots. If however you're a beg and you want to learn how to draw characters or animals/creatures it would be way better to start for example with Glenn Vilppu's videos and books.

I disagree with this, I am a pure math major and still found the book pretty hard to understand in the beginning.

All the FUCK I want is a freeware program that compiles images into a grid. Not online botnet shit or command line garbage. Is this so much to ask?

What do you bros think of my first iwagumi hardscape? Broke the cardinal rule and used an even number of stones, but it it feels right.

Suggestions for plants? My heart is telling me to go full bucephalandra. I have tons in other scapes.

Just make your own, it’s super easy. Paint on a boats, let it dry, scan it, open it in photoshop and use the wand tool to select the entire shape, overlay that on your illustration and delete the edges
